Propreitor & Guide
(aka: madman)

Started my wilderness career while in the U.S. Marine Corps. Spent 8 years active-duty, and loved when we went on deployments and spent time climbing, and backpacking. The skills I learned in the core are priceless when out here. I also spent 5 years as a volunteer adult leader for numerous Boy Scouts "High Adventure" 50 mile treks in the Smoky Mountains, in early March.  You never know what weather you'll get! Be prepared!! Climbed Mt. Whitney, thru hiked the High Sierra Trail and then back.

Guide & Specialist
(aka: humanpackmule)

Mike is just a great guy.  He is a wealth of information, and he has been backpacking almost his entire life. He has just about backpacked every single trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (that's almost 900 miles). Climbed Mt. Whitney, thru hiked the High Sierra Trail and then back. Scout Master for many years, Eagle Scout, taught Eagle Scouts how to become Eagle Scouts. Mike is also a very accomplished (and creative) outback chef.

Guide & Specialist
(aka: Lightening Rod)

Chris is an Eagle Scout with 10 years backpacking experience. He has climbed Mt. Whitney, thru hiked the Sierra Trail and then back, hiked in Montana and enjoyed numerous 50 mile hikes in the Smokey Mts. Chris looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm for the outdoors with others. He is employed with the National Park Service and is attending college.

Guide & Specialist
(aka: McGyver or da real madman)

Chris is resilient and admirable.  Chris was in a bad motorcycle accident about 3 years ago now, which kept him from going on the Beartooth Expedition back in 2005. We thought he would never climb again.  We were wrong.  Not only did Chris recover, but now he is a training to become a triathelete. Chris has shown to be an excellent guide, very organized, and creative when things get broken on the trail.

Asst. Guide

Mike will be joining our team as an assistant guide, and hopefully, after he get's a couple more years experience leading treks, we'll have him full-time. We enjoy Mike's sense of humor, and ability.  Mike is a real go-getter.
