SCHEDULED NOVEMBER 12-14, 2008 - 8 Persons for Permit - This particular trip is a group favorite, but it's not for everyone.  It's cold, and there is a potential for snow or freezing rain, but we have even seen temps in the 60's during the day.  This itinerary is one of our aggressive adventures, and is typically reserved for those who want a challenge. It's not that the trip itself is diffucult, because it's not... it's the potential for bad weather that makes it dangerous. We planned this trip to occur within the first 2 weeks of November which means cold nights when up high. Adventurists will sleep in an AT Shelter for night 1, then bacppack up the infamous Boulevard Trail up to Mt. LeConte Shelter.

If Mother Nature is good to us, be prepared to have some awesome views. You will also get to see Alum Cave on the way out, which is also pretty darn cool. This trek (during the summer months) is good for 14 years old and up, but for November, we highly recommend 18 and up, and physically fit.

Forgot to mention one other benefit to this trip... again, if the weather is good, we can lead a group of folks up to Charlies Bunion which is a very cool outcropping about 2 miles from the Icewater Shelter and provides some very cool views.  I't's also nice to get the backpack's off you back and scramble up some where.
